Uniform

Our decision to have a uniform at S.H.A.D is based on the following points:

1) It ensures that our pupils' clothing and footwear are safe and appropriate to the style of dance they are participating in.

2) It creates a sense of 'team' and assists the pupils in getting into the right frame of mind to focus on dancing rather than what they are wearing.

3) From a teaching point of view, it enables us to clearly see each pupil's shape and alignment which helps us to correct them.
This is also one of the reasons we ask for long hair to be tied back and up so that we are able to see the whole length of the spine.
